The grass and bushes are very overgrown at the public footpath. Also the fire was set by the kids which is very dangerous to us residents who are living where the fire was set. If we wouldn't be in the garden and see just beginning of the fire and managing to putting the fire out with extinguisher and buckets of water it would of been catastrophic. The all residents believe this should be sorted asap because due to the high risk of danger. Case is closed but nothing is done-Apartment 1, 21 Austwick Close, Leicester, LE4 0SJ

I wish to report a road safety concern regarding a Highway Maintenance vehicle that has been parked in a position that significantly obstructs visibility from entering and exiting my private driveway.

The vehicle, registration was parked on the curb significantly blocking pedestrians particular pushchairs and wheelchairs on the adjacent to my property and its size creates a substantial blind spot when attempting to exit my driveway safely.

As shown in the attached photographs, the vehicle blocks the line of sight towards approaching traffic, forcing drivers to move further into the carriageway before it is possible to determine whether the road is clear.

Given the location of the vehicle and its proximity to the junction, I believe it presents a genuine road safety hazard rather than merely an inconvenience. The obstruction affects both drivers exiting private property on our private road and also to other road users.

I have attached photographs showing:
• The position of the vehicle.
• The extent to which visibility is restricted from the driveway.
• The vehicle details, including registration number and Highway Maintenance markings.
• The location on Farnley Road and its proximity to the junction.

In view of the safety risk, I would respectfully request that an Enforcement Officer attend the site to assess the visibility issues and determine whether the vehicle's positioning constitutes an obstruction or parking contravention. A site visit would allow the hazard to be assessed from the perspective of a driver exiting the driveway.

I would also appreciate advice on whether any enforcement action can be taken and whether longer-term measures, such as "Keep Clear" markings or other parking restrictions, could be considered to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Given the potential risk to road users and residents, I would be grateful for a prompt response confirming receipt of this report, the action being taken, and any next steps available to address this ongoing concern.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

Environmental, Littering and BBQ Complaint – Canal Near National Space Centre

I would like to report a repeated littering and environmental problem around the canal/waterway near the National Space Centre in Leicester.

Every evening, groups of people regularly gather in this area to eat and drink. They also have BBQs. After they leave, they frequently leave a large amount of rubbish behind.

The problem is not limited to the canal/towpath. Rubbish is also being thrown into the nearby residential area, including empty cans, disposable plates, food containers, bottles, packaging and other waste. This is becoming a regular problem for local residents and is making the area unpleasant and untidy.

There are also concerns about people having BBQs in the area, including the potential fire risk and the possibility of damage to the surrounding environment.

This appears to be a repeated problem, particularly during the evening.

I would ask the council/appropriate authority to please:

* Investigate this location.
* Check whether BBQs are permitted at this location.
* Increase evening patrols or monitoring.
* Consider installing additional signs about littering and BBQs.
* Arrange appropriate cleaning of the affected areas.
* Take enforcement action where appropriate.
* Consider measures to prevent rubbish being thrown into the residential area.

I am happy to provide photographs and details of the times when this regularly happens.

Please could you investigate this as a recurring environmental and community problem rather than treating it as a one-off littering incident.-15 Mckay Avenue, Leicester, LE4 5FD
