The grassed area behind Woodhall Close and off Brookdale Road at one time used to be looked after on a regular basis by the Council, not now. All that seems to be done is the grassed mown. Yesterday, late afternoon (Wednesday 1st and the previous day) two lads were seen breaking up the tree trunks that have been placed either end of this grassed area (many years ago) and setting fire to them. The fire brigade did attend yesterday at around 4.45 p.m. I'm sure this will not be the last time that these lads try this. The old tree trunks need to be replaced with something more sturdy and the trees and shrubs along the back of the houses are in need of some pruning. Can you please arrange for someone to come and look at this area before something more serious happens i.e. setting fire to the whole area. I have been trying to call the Council this morning but cannot get through as it is extremely busy ........... to be honest I would much rather talk to someone but this does not seem possible as no one will answer the phone.
