I am writing regarding the lamppost directly outside my property, which was knocked down in a car accident. The police and emergency council crews have already been to the scene to make it safe, cut down the column, isolated the wiring, and cordoned off the area.<br/><br/>I am aware that the council's highway contractors will soon be scheduled to visit the site to excavate the damaged tarmac, remove the destroyed concrete base, and install a new lamppost. Because the ground must be entirely dug up and a completely new foundation poured anyway, I would like to request that the replacement lamppost be installed directly on the boundary line between my property and my neighbour's property No 4.<br/><br/>Shifting the replacement post to this central boundary line will ensure it does not obstruct the future driveway. Please pass this to the Street Lighting supervisor and installation contractor as an urgent matter so this adjustment can be reviewed before the new concrete foundation is poured.<br/><br/>
